This year, the GIS of Thermoelectricity has decided to experiment with a new format. This is why, in addition to the usual annual events, a series of webinars will be held throughout 2024 to give the floor to researchers from the community or from neighbouring fields on topics related to the challenges of thermoelectricity.
Dr. Paz VAQUEIRO from the University of Reading, UK, has been our first guest speaker in this series of webinars, and gave a videoconference on Thursday 18 April 2024 at 2pm (zoom details at the end) entitled :
Copper-containing sulphides as thermoelectric materials with low lattice thermal conductivities.

Dr. Jean-François HALET from l’Institut des Sciences Chimiques de Rennes (ISCR), Université de Rennes, ENSCR will give the second webinar on Thursday 13 June 2024 at 2pm entitled :
Use of Cluster-Based Molybdenum Chalcogenide Compounds for Thermoelectricity. Dream or Reality? A (Partial) Answer from Theory.
