September 2024
The website for JNTE2024, which will take place at the Institute Charles Sadron in Strasbourg, is available at the following address: https://jnte-2024.sciencesconf.org. You will find all the practical information there, the registration form (free but mandatory) and the template for submitting an abstract. The two half-days of training sessions will be devoted to conductive polymers studied in thermoelectricity.
July 2024
The 40th International Conference on Thermoelectrics and 20th European Conference on Thermoelectric (ICT/ECT 2024) took place jointly from June 30 to July 4 in Krakow, Poland. They brought together around 420 people. The gala dinner was organized in the Wieliczka salt mines which we invite you to discover.
Congratulations to Charlotte Poterie from the Pprime Institute in Poitiers who received a prize for her poster!
June 2024
The second webinar will be given by Dr. Jean-François HALET from l’Institut des Sciences Chimiques de Rennes (ISCR), Université de Rennes, ENSCR on Thursday 13 June 2024 at 2pm. His conference is entitled: Use of Cluster-Based Molybdenum Chalcogenide Compounds for Thermoelectricity. Dream or Reality? A (Partial) Answer from Theory. (All informations here.)
April 2024
This year, the GIS has decided to experiment with a new format to bring our community to life. This is why, in addition to the usual annual events, a series of webinars will be held throughout 2024 to give the floor to researchers from the community or from neighbouring fields on topics related to the challenges of thermoelectricity.
Dr. Paz VAQUEIRO from the University of Reading in the United Kingdom will be the first guest speaker in this series of webinars, and will give a lecture by videoconference on Thursday 18 April 2024 at 2pm entitled: Copper-containing sulphides as thermoelectric materials with low lattice thermal conductivities. (All information on this page)
January 2024
The management and members of the scientific council of the GIS wish you a very happy new year 2024. Find in the latest Newsletter all the information on the events to come this year.
