The management of the GIS Thermoelectricity is ensured by a Steering Committee, bringing together representatives of the signatory laboratories (called “Parties”) of the agreement creating the GIS, and by a scientific council.

A director and two co-directors are designated by mutual agreement by the Parties, for the duration of this agreement. Their mandates can be renewed.

The current management of GIS-TE is ensured by:

  • Director: Mr. Christophe Candolfi from the Institut Jean Lamour in Nancy – IJL (UMR 7198)
  • Co-director: Mme Céline Barreteau from the Institut de Chimie des Matériaux Paris Est – ICMPE (UMR 7182)
  • Co-director: Mr. David Bérardan from the Institut de Chimie Moléculaire et des Matériaux d’Orsay – ICMMO (UMR 8182)

The scientific council is made up of recognized scientific personalities in the various disciplines concerned by the activity of the GIS-TE, members or not of the Parties, designated for the duration of the convention by the Steering Committee on the proposal of the Director of the GIS-TE. These members have a mandate of 4 years, renewable.

The Council elects from among its members, by simple majority, its President for four years, renewable.

The Director of GIS-TE participates in meetings of the Scientific Council in a consultative capacity.

The functions of member of the Scientific Council are voluntary.
